National Health Insurance Training Workshop (Cape Town): Call for Participants

by | Mar 29, 2019 | Home, News & Analysis, NHI | 0 comments

PHM South Africa is organising a series of National Health Insurance (NHI) workshops and public engagements with different communities and groups across the country. These workshops, in a campaign partnership with a number of other Civil Society Organisations, aim to raise critical awareness of the health sector reforms needed if an NHI is to deliver Universal Health Coverage and equitable access to quality health care services.

PHM South Africa is seeking to involve volunteers who agree to be trained in a Train-the-Trainer process to support this campaign, and to use the training to train others in their community or at different campaign activities in other provinces.

PHM SA expects volunteers to participate fully in a two-day Training-of-Trainers workshop, and to use the content of the training in organising and facilitating at least 2 community training events by a date to be decided at the workshop.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to bottom-up health system change by empowering communities to ensure a future NHI delivers health system reform that will turn around our health system.

Date: 13-14 April 2019

Place: University of Cape Town, Cape Town

If you wish to attend the workshop, please send a motivation to secretariat@phm-sa.org, stating:

  • Name, age and organisation (if relevant)
  • Why you would like to participate
  • Where and for whom you would be organising community workshops following the training

Please note that there are no sponsorships available for this training.

Deadline for applications: 5 April 2019

In solidarity,

PHM SA
